Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TillFlo (“TillFlo”, “the Service”, “we”, “us”), a point-of-sale platform built and operated by Avymob Technologies Limited (“Avymob”, “the Company”), a company registered in Kenya. By creating an account, setting up a shop, or otherwise using TillFlo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
TillFlo is a browser-based point-of-sale application for small and medium businesses in Kenya. It lets you record sales (cash, M-Pesa, and split payments), manage products, track staff and commissions, and view reports for your shop. Each shop you create runs on its own dedicated canister (a smart-contract-style application container) on the Internet Computer, a public blockchain network. You sign in using Internet Identity, a passwordless authentication system that does not require us to collect a password or email address from you.
2. Accounts and Shops
- You must sign in with Internet Identity to use TillFlo. You are responsible for safeguarding the device(s) and passkeys associated with your Internet Identity — we cannot recover or reset it on your behalf.
- When you create a shop, a dedicated canister is provisioned for it on the Internet Computer. As the shop owner, you control staff access (Manager and Cashier roles), shop settings, and commission configuration.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you and your staff enter into TillFlo, including product prices, sales records, customer details, and commission rates.
- You must not use TillFlo for any unlawful purpose, to record fraudulent transactions, or to misrepresent your business to customers, staff, or authorities.
3. Fees and Billing
- One-time setup fee. Creating a shop incurs a one-time setup fee, currently KES 1,500. This covers the provisioning of your shop’s dedicated infrastructure on the Internet Computer, which carries a real, ongoing cost to operate (paid for in “cycles”, the network’s compute resource).
- Monthly subscription. Continued use of a shop requires a recurring subscription, currently KES 500 per month. This functions like rent for your shop’s space on the Internet Computer — it keeps your shop’s infrastructure funded, online, and running.
- Free trial. New shops may be eligible for a free first month, as indicated at the time of setup. We will notify you before your trial ends.
- Promotional offers. From time to time we may offer promotions (for example, waived setup fees for a limited cohort of shops). Such offers are extended at our discretion, are not guaranteed to be available, and may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
- Payment. Fees are payable via M-Pesa or other payment methods we make available from time to time. If a subscription lapses or payment fails, we may suspend access to the affected shop until payment is received.
- Changes to pricing. We may change our fees from time to time. We will give you reasonable notice of any change before it takes effect for your shop.
4. Your Data
- Shop data — products, sales, staff, customers, stewards, and audit records — is stored on your shop’s dedicated canister on the Internet Computer. You retain ownership of this data.
- Receipt images, where the feature is used, are stored separately in private cloud storage (see our Privacy Policy for details) and referenced from your shop’s on-chain records.
- You are responsible for the data you and your staff enter, including any personal data about your customers (such as names, phone numbers, and addresses recorded in the customer directory). You must have a lawful basis for collecting and storing such data and must handle it in accordance with applicable law, including the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
5. Suspension and Termination
- You may stop using TillFlo at any time. Cancelling your subscription will not delete your shop or its on-chain data, but continued operation of your shop’s infrastructure depends on it remaining funded.
- We may suspend or terminate access to a shop if: fees remain unpaid after notice, the Service is being used unlawfully or in a way that harms TillFlo, other users, or the underlying network, or if required to do so by law.
- Because shop data lives on a dedicated canister, certain actions (such as permanently decommissioning a shop) may be irreversible. We will act reasonably and give notice where practicable before taking any such action.
6. Service Availability
TillFlo runs on the Internet Computer, a public blockchain network operated by independent node providers, and may rely on third-party services (such as M-Pesa for payments and cloud storage for receipt images). While we work to keep the Service reliable, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for outages, delays, or failures caused by these underlying networks or third-party providers that are outside our reasonable control.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avymob Technologies Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of TillFlo, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable Kenyan law.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our pricing, or applicable law. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of TillFlo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of TillFlo shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
